WHY YOUR AFFIRMATIONS FEEL LIKE THEY AREN'T WORKING

Affirmations aren’t magic words. But they do hold a certain kind of power — especially when you understand how the brain listens. How the subconscious mind responds to repetition, tone, identity. How the language we use isn’t just expression — it’s instruction.

When we repeat something often enough, the brain begins to rewire around it. That’s neuroplasticity. Our internal filters, like the Reticular Activating System (RAS), start to adjust what we notice, what we expect, what we pursue. Over time, the nervous system softens into a new normal — not because we forced belief, but because we gently practiced it.

So when she speaks affirmations, she isn’t pretending.
She’s guiding. Recalling. Returning.
She’s using language as a tool to rehearse the identity she’s chosen to live from.

For affirmations to work, they need to feel true enough to land. This is where most people miss the point. Saying “I’m wildly successful” can feel empty if your body is bracing against debt. The nervous system doesn’t respond to declarations — it responds to familiarity.

That’s why subtle shifts in language matter.
“I’m wildly successful” becomes “I’m building a life where success feels safe in my body.”
Or, “I make grounded decisions with powerful results.”
Now the subconscious can relax. Now the affirmation becomes something it can believe — and therefore build from.

Affirmations are also a mirror. They reflect the version of you you’re choosing to move from. The more consistently you affirm from her, the more natural it becomes to act, respond, and attract from that place.

A few ways to root this into daily life:

Try This GRL Ritual:
— Each morning, pause and ask: What identity am I leading from today?
— Write three affirmations that align with her voice, her tone, her posture.
— Say them slowly, clearly, and often — especially in moments your old programming wants to speak louder.

Affirmations to begin with:

I am open and ready to receive all the abundance God has to give me.
I don’t chase clarity. I create it with every decision.
Everything real aligns with ease. Everything else fades.

Let the affirmations be a felt experience, not just a phrase. Walk them. Sit in them. Make decisions from them.

Because you’re not using words to become someone new.
You’re using them to remember all you can be.
